For those who don't mind spending a little more for an unforgettable experience.

JEFFREYS: $$$

FOR AN INCREDIBLE STEAK AND EXPERIENCE VERY NEAR THE STUDIO.

Partners Ron & Peggy Weiss and Jeff Weinberger opened Jeffrey’s in 1975 to bring a simple café to the quiet, historic Clarksville neighborhood in Austin. Re-imagined & renovated in 2013 by MML Hospitality, Jeffrey’s, under the leadership of Executive Chef Mark McCain, boasts multiple dining rooms including a bar and lounge, private dining rooms, and wine cellar. The menu highlights wood-fired dry-aged steaks, French-American classics, and signature seasonal specialties. The restaurant is home to one of the state’s deepest wine lists. The charming neighborhood location, old world service, and Texas hospitality make Jeffrey’s a true Austin gem.

TEX-MEX: You can't leave Texas without TEX MEX.

MATTS EL RANCHO:

Matt’s El Rancho is more than a restaurant — it’s a Texas story that began nearly a century ago. In 1923, at the age of six, Matt Martinez sold tamales from a wooden pushcart by the Texas Capitol. Nearly three decades later, in 1952, Matt and his wife Janie opened the first El Rancho on East 1st Street in downtown Austin. With just 10 tables, Matt welcomed every guest with warmth while Janie cooked everything from scratch using her own recipes. Word spread quickly, and soon El Rancho became a beloved gathering place.  Over the years, the restaurant grew in size and reputation.

We suggest you request a table outside near the coy pond.
