Christian Cox is the dynamic Founder, Creative Director, and Master Instructor of AM RADIO. Her remarkable journey intertwines the world of high fashion with Authentic Classical Pilates, creating a unique and influential brand.

Christian's path began at 18 when she was scouted by the FORD modeling agency, leading her to move to New York City. There, she started her Pilates practice under the tutelage of Romana Kryzanowska, the chosen protégé of Joseph Pilates himself. This unparalleled foundation provided Christian with an authentic, direct connection to the original method.

After years of training and working at Romana's esteemed studio, Christian relocated to Los Angeles. Her reputation as one of the few authentic Classical (Authentic Method) instructors quickly spread, cultivating a client list that spanned the globe. Her expertise attracted a diverse clientele, including professional athletes and celebrities such as members of the England and Ireland Rugby Teams, DC United and LA Galaxy soccer players, tennis star Maria Sharapova, Olympic Gold Medalists Misty May and Kerri Walsh, actress Bianca Kajlich, musician Brandon Boyd of Incubus, and Baseball star of the Oakland A's and Atlanta Braves Kirt Suzuki.

While building her Pilates career, Christian pursued her other passion: fashion. Leveraging her modeling experience and an education from the Fashion Institute of Design in Los Angeles, she successfully merged her love for an active lifestyle and design. She launched Pacific & Driftwood (PxD), a trendsetting resort and swimwear brand that achieved significant acclaim. PxD graced the pages of Vogue, ELLE, and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issues, and was carried by over 150 retailers worldwide, including Net-a-Porter, Revolve, and Urban Outfitters.

Eventually, the successful PxD brand reached a natural conclusion. Christian returned to NYC, carrying forward the vision of blending a healthy lifestyle with stylish design. She began designing and producing AM RADIO—a brand proudly made in the USA—launching a true Studio-to-Street athleisure line alongside a dedicated Pilates studio: the first concept of its kind.

With over 29 years of experience, Christian has now brought her expertise to Austin, TX, launching the first physical location of AM RADIO centrally near downtown. The studio remains committed to the niche of authentic, classical Pilates in the Austin area.

AM RADIO launched its inaugural teacher training program (A.M.U)  in the fall of 2024. This program offers classical certification, providing graduates with esteemed worldwide recognition.
